We're your family, Jungkook wants to protest, his brow knitting as he listens and takes in the full extent of Seokjin's relationship with his family. No matter what, Jungkook thinks it must be worse for one's family to cast them out. For one's family to not even care enough to come visit. Seokjin's parents, Jimin's parents — Jungkook doesn't understand. Sometimes he feels that even anger must be a better emotion felt than a sheer dearth of anything.

He licks at his lower lip, gaze dropping for a moment, before he nearly starts at the feel of a hand carefully resting on his wrist. Jungkook nods quickly; he's never doubted Seokjin's love and affection.
