likedriedflowerpetals: [jungkook] (neutral, positive) (I was taken with the tide)

Bruises are just temporary. Yoongi gets them all the time, pale skin bruising readily when he bumps into desks or fails to look where he's going, his thoughts elsewhere as always. Most of them are meaningless. Jungkook's, though, are laden with meaning, intent behind each one. If Yoongi can leave even one that means love instead of hate, it's a start.

Jungkook's words, too, are technically temporary, fading from the air as soon as they're spoken. The meaning, though, stays. There are tears in his eyes, but he doesn't look sad this time. He's breathtaking like this, expression full of love, speaking words Yoongi knows he won't forget. So much in his life feels so transitory, and he wants this, something solid and real and permanent, love that might bruise but won't ever break.

"You were," he says, soft, sincere. If it's naive to say so, he doesn't care. If soulmates are a real thing, then Jungkook is his. He's not sure there's any other explanation for how two people can find each other and fit together so perfectly, hearts and bodies slotting together like puzzle pieces. "You are. Just like I'm yours." He turns his hand just enough to hold Jungkook's. Tender as the moment is, it does nothing to dim his desire; if anything, it just makes him want Jungkook all the more, desperate to make him feel good. He leans down to kiss him again, deep and slow, tongue stroking into Jungkook's mouth until he moans.
