"Yah," Yoongi exclaims, amused and faintly embarrassed. "I thought I was crazy." Maybe, on some level, that's part of what drew him to Jungkook — all the little touches and glances he can look back at now and know were out of love, all the things that made him feel so special with the younger boy. And it's true that he still does make Yoongi feel special, but he knows now there's much more to it. This is love, as pure and true as it gets.

"And you don't need to do anything," he adds, shrugging. "You're not average to me." Practically speaking, sure, Jungkook doesn't have the best grades and he's not a genius at any one particular thing. So what? He's Jungkook, and that's exactly who Yoongi loves, no matter what he does or doesn't do. If Yoongi had wanted someone more academically inclined, he'd be looking elsewhere. What he wants is this boy who looks at him like he's moonlight — his boy who's so passionate and energetic and charming, no one could help but love him.
