"Well, when you said it wasn't one of the others, I thought — I don't know! Like, you can obviously meet girls in class. Or like, a cute barista at one of the coffee shops you go to, or something. It happens all the time in dramas," Jungkook remarks, wrinkling his nose. His experiences with dating aren't very broad, and even what he knows through his friends is limited, leaving him with mostly fiction to work off of — and he knows that fiction isn't the most reliable source for how life works, even if it makes for some fun daydreaming at times.

Jungkook purses his lips, leveling Yoongi with an extended look. "Even if it seems obvious in retrospect, seriously, what else was I supposed to think at the time?" he chuckles. "I don't have enough of an ego to think that it could've been me. Especially since we clearly started off friends and all. I was feeling bad enough for developing feelings for a friend in the first place."
