Yoongi thinks back to those early days, to what it was like when Jungkook was just some cute kid following them around. He's sure Taehyung and Jimin took to Jungkook faster than he did, though maybe that was an age thing. Still, he doesn't remember minding or being annoyed by it. If anything, it was flattering. Yoongi was more accustomed to people pitying him or even being afraid he might take a swing at them. The admiration Jungkook directed their way early on, sunny and ready to please, was so different. He never quite understood what they'd done to deserve that, just an ordinary bunch of hooligans, but it never bothered him.
In that way, he supposes, Jungkook has always made him feel lucky.
"Are they?" he asks, amused by the idea that there might be something special about what he has to say. But then, he finds so much of what Jungkook says important and charming out of nothing more than simple affection; maybe to Jungkook, what Yoongi has to say matters more for that same reason. "You know I never minded you hanging around, right?"
