"I'm kidding," Jungkook says gently, reaching out to squeeze Yoongi's shoulder reassuringly. While it's true enough that Jungkook enjoys being flirted with by Yoongi, he also fully understands why Yoongi would be reticent to show too much affection in front of others, even when it's just within their group of seven. There are some sentiments that are simply best kept between the two of them — certain words that they've only ever shared behind the privacy of four walls, certain ways in which they look at each other, watch each other, that they can't quite manage with the weight of other gazes on them.

Yoongi's always been a private person, and Jungkook likes that about him — it makes the moments they have to themselves feel more special somehow, knowing that no one else will ever see this side of Yoongi.

Knowing that there are parts of Yoongi that will only ever be his.

"I don't think I can flirt with you normally in front of the others, either. I'm probably way more over-the-top when we're with the hyungs," Jungkook muses, thinking about how fun it can be to earn a look of disgust from Jimin, or for Taehyung to snicker at Jungkook's grand gestures and words. Exaggeration is fun around the broader group, but when alone with Yoongi, things are gentler. Tender.
