Jungkook's dreamed of love for a long time. It's hard not to. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he spent so many years poring through old photo albums, fingers gently brushing along the edges of pictures taken of his parents when they were young, fresh-faced, eagerly anticipating the rest of their lives together. Jungkook's stepfather is, well — he's fine for Jungkook's mom, he really is, but Jungkook likes to think that it was his father who was really her true love, as sad as that might be for her. It's still something, Jungkook thinks, for her to have had that consuming kind of love. All that Jungkook's ever wanted for himself was to find that same kind of love, something to ease the loneliness he often felt within his home.

But the real thing is so much more than smiles. Jungkook feels it in his every breath, in the flush that spreads through his cheeks, the tingle of excitement that sparks across his skin. Being with Yoongi is both electrifying and calming at once, the excitement of knowing that he's finally whole now that he's found his better half.

His mother would laugh at him for thinking so, but Jungkook can't help but sense in his gut that Yoongi is the one he'll be loving for the rest of his life. They fit too well together for that not to be the case.

"Gonna marry you someday," Jungkook murmurs, pleased with the thought as he closes his eyes and enjoys the weight of Yoongi's forehead against his own. "Just you wait."
