"I don't know, and it's carved out of stone," Jungkook reminds Yoongi, shaking his head at the sheer amount of dedication and talent that must have gone into carving the statue. There are countless others from that period of time as well. It makes Jungkook wonder if, with the advent of technology, art like that has taken a step back or two. Fewer people going into art, into music, and opting instead for the high-paying jobs. Their generation doesn't have a Beethoven. Doesn't seem to have a Van Gogh or Michelangelo. "I can't even imagine carving my name into stone, let alone a sculpture that'd last for so many centuries."
Jungkook pulls in a deep breath, taking his phone back from Yoongi. He's not going to let himself get discouraged by the talents of someone who was clearly one of a kind. It's okay not to be that kind of talent, Jungkook thinks.
Happiness is still more important.
"You know what's more beautiful than that, though," Jungkook remarks with a soft smile. "The way I catch you looking at me, sometimes. Like those rare occasions when you wake up earlier than me in the morning."
