"Ah, I like this," Jungkook declares as they step out into the hall, fingers laced, no attempt made on Jungkook's part to hide the fact that they're here as a couple. He's well aware that they might have to be a little more discreet later on if they attract odd looks, but the fear of running into anyone they know is minuscule, and Jungkook finds that he doesn't mind attracting a little bit of attention from people he may never again see in this lifetime anyway.

"I can't believe we get an entire weekend of this. Feels... perfect," Jungkook adds, giggling openly as they make their way back to the elevator, Jungkook reaching out to tap the down button. He glances to either end of the hallway before looping his arm around Yoongi's waist again.

"I wanna travel everywhere with you," he muses, brushing some of Yoongi's bangs off to the side.

Yoongi leans in, rests his forehead against Jungkook's, his smile warm and open. He knows they should still be at least a little careful. Still, it seems doubtful that anyone who sees them will care all that much about the two of them holding hands and talking close, about lingering looks. They might be bothered, but most people, he's willing to bet, will keep it to themselves anyway if they're offended, and who gives a fuck about them anyway?

"Everywhere," he echoes. "Absolutely everywhere. Paris. New York. London. Tiny places in between where no one goes, just us."

The elevator dings and the doors slides open, and Yoongi steps backwards into the empty elevator, not waiting for the doors to close again before he kisses Jungkook. "Anywhere you want to go." He'll make it happen. As long as they're together, Yoongi knows, that will be more than enough, but still he craves the chance to give Jungkook everything he could dream of.

Jungkook whimpers against the kiss, continuing to step backward until his shoulder blades meet the wall of the elevator. Little moments like these are enough to stoke Jungkook's imagination, already mischievously wondering how much they might be able to get away with in the dead of night, when no one else is around. How much he'd like to push the stop button like they do in the movies, to watch their breath cloud against the metal, to search for and cover all the cameras before they make love.

The thought makes him snicker just a touch, his hands reaching around Yoongi's waist and smoothing over skin with his palms, tugging him closer, until their bodies stand almost flush.

"Anywhere. I'd go anywhere with you," Jungkook murmurs. "Vienna, too. We have to make it to Vienna someday."

They don't have very far to go, and Yoongi wishes the ride were longer, that they could just stand here, could just enjoy each other with no fear of interruption. Even so, he's happy. That still feels like a novelty sometimes.

"Definitely Vienna," he agrees, smiling, hand lifting to Jungkook's cheek before he steals another kiss. "We could just run off and backpack across Europe." He pulls away reluctantly as the elevator shudders to a stop. Times like this, it feels like they're getting away with something they shouldn't be doing, private and public at the same time, and it's hard not to want more. Busan is waiting, though, a whole city to explore hand in hand.

He reaches for Jungkook's as the elevator doors open. "But Busan is a good start."

Truth be told, Jungkook doesn't know all that much about Vienna other than the fact that it was such a center of inspiration, such a stomping ground for the great classical composers. Time has probably changed the place enough that it might be unrecognizable compared to then, but Jungkook likes to think that there might be something intangible about the place, some type of energy that they might still be able to tap into together.

He'll have to look into it later, he thinks. Maybe start some type of pinboard to collect all of the destinations they want to hit someday, just to have a goal towards which they can reach.

"Busan's a great start," Jungkook agrees, chin lifting as they step out of the elevator, giving Yoongi's hand a soft squeeze. "And it didn't take us too long to find a time to get here, right? Only a couple of months, really. I'm hoping that we can listen to some people use Busan satoori here — I always thought it sounded kind of nice and masculine, y'know? Maybe I can pick it up."

Yoongi purses his lips, stifling a laugh. "But I like how you sound already," he says, leading the way to the exit. "Don't go changing on me."

They left out early enough that the sun is still high as they leave the hotel, still plenty of time ahead of them to knock a few items off their wish list of things to do. He lets go of Jungkook's hand, digging his phone out of his jacket pocket so he can pull up the map, trying to figure out their best route to the water.

"But, no, it didn't take too long," he says. "This was perfect timing." He can't think of a better way to spend his birthday.

Even a hint of Yoongi's laughter is enough encouragement for Jungkook, who takes a couple of quick steps to catch up, eyes already twinkling in amusement. "What?" he drawls, trying for the best (and probably wholly inaccurate) satoori accent that he can, pieced together from various things he's watched over the years. "You mean you ain't ever dreamed of a Busan man, broad-shouldered and smellin' of the sea, coming to whisk you away?"

He bursts into giggles before he can help himself, which probably ruins any gravity the moment might have otherwise had, before leaning in to get a look at the map on Yoongi's phone.

"That road looks a bit larger. Maybe that means there'll be more food places around there," Jungkook points out, his fingertip hovering just above the screen.

Yoongi laughs, shaking his head at Jungkook. "That was terrible," he says. "And I'd rather do the whisking, thank you." He may not be some dashing fisherman or anyone's idea of a prince or a knight, but for all that he likes it when Jungkook holds him at night, how safe he feels, he'd prefer to be the protector most of the time. Besides, Jungkook sweeps him off his feet often enough.

"That looks like a good choice," he adds, nodding. "Let's head that way." Tucking his phone back in his pocket, he reaches again for Jungkook's hand. "I hope you're not dreaming of such a man. I'm not letting you get whisked away from me."

Even that has him stifling a laugh. It's nice, really, to be so comfortable he can tease like that, knowing it's utter nonsense. There won't ever be anyone else for them.

"Guess someone has to work hard to make sure he keeps my interest," Jungkook snickers as he easily slips his hand into Yoongi's, letting the older boy lead the way. Even the thought of his eyes straying to anyone else feels ridiculous — why would he even bother when he already has the best boyfriend he could ever hope for? There might have been other fleeting crushes in his past, but Jungkook knows none of them would even hold a candle to how he feels about Yoongi now, ready as he is to throw all his chips into this relationship.

To throw his all into making this last forever.

"Ah, but really, your deep voice is one of the attractive things about you," Jungkook adds with a tilt of his head. "And what's all satoori really is, right? Makes your voice lower and has that little drawl. You've already got that even without the accent, so — you're clearly my type."

Maybe it makes him vain, but Yoongi never tires of hearing these things, the apparently endless list of reasons Jungkook finds him attractive. He doesn't do anything as silly as preen at hearing it, but he smiles, slightly smug. He's said before he likes himself better through Jungkook's eyes, and he means it. When he steps back to look at these things the way his boyfriend does, he seems like a better, stronger, smarter person, vision less clouded by his own cruel brain.

Even so, joke or not, he intends to work hard, to keep investing himself in this relationship, for the rest of his life.

"Clearly," he teases, glancing over. "Though maybe I should start affecting an accent. Keep your eyes from wandering while we're here."

Even though Jungkook's fairly certain that Yoongi's comment is made in jest, Jungkook still takes a quick step forward and blocks Yoongi's path, his free arm reaching around Yoongi's waist and pulling him close for a hug. The street isn't all that busy, Jungkook figures, and besides — anyone who sees them probably knows that the love hotel is close, maybe some of them can guess why these two young men are here together.

And Jungkook's fine with that. More than fine, even as he tells himself to be careful.

"My eyes are never going to wander away from you," Jungkook murmurs quietly, cupping one palm underneath Yoongi's jaw, thumb brushing against the smoothness of his cheek. "You're the only one for me, Min Yoongi."

Yoongi's heart leaps and races, a potent mix of excitement and concern and love. He doesn't want to invite trouble, but being close with Jungkook like this is so easy and natural, feels so good, he can hardly find it in him to worry who might see and what they'll think. He likes this too much to care, his smile fading into something softer. He leans forward to rest his forehead against Jungkook's.

"I know," he says warmly. "Just like you're the only one for me, Jeon Jungkook." It's been a long, long time since he so much as gave anyone else a second glance. Why would he now, his vision full of Jungkook? He smooths his hand over Jungkook's chest to rest against his neck, tempted just to kiss him here and now. He's not quite that reckless, though, at least not when Jungkook's safety is as much in question as his own. "Maybe I just like being reminded."

You're the only one for me, Jeon Jungkook. Maybe the words should be expected, mirroring Jungkook's words as they do, but Jungkook still finds a brilliant smile stretching across his face, his gaze softening as he leans in, close enough that his whole world is Yoongi. Close enough that Yoongi is literally all that he can see. The area is too public for a kiss, but Jungkook presses their foreheads together, feeling the brush of shared breath and reveling in the warmth of it, the way it cuts through the slight chilliness of the seaside in early spring.

"I want to remind you every second of every day," Jungkook murmurs, his hand smoothing down just a touch, along the side of Yoongi's neck. "For the rest of our lives. How my heart seems to beat in time with your music, how your smiles still make my stomach flutter after all these months. How I can never stop picturing the way your skin looks under my hands, pale and smooth and perfect. Everything about you, Min Yoongi."

Yoongi closes his eyes, a soft, pleased sound slipping out. They're hardly poets, either of them, not always great with words, but Jungkook is miles better with them than he is. Somehow he always knows exactly how to make Yoongi weak in the knees. They're so close, it wouldn't take much to close the space between them, turn this into a kiss. With the soft heat of Jungkook's breath against his lips, he can almost feel it.

"Are you sure you don't want to just go back to the room?" he asks, only half-joking. His thoughts whirl with the words, with the image of all the times Jungkook has stretched out on desks or propped himself up on the bench beside Yoongi to listen to him play. All the times he tried to say how much he loved him through the keys, even before they started dating. It would be very silly just to go back to the room when they have a whole city to see, though. "You're making it very tempting."

Jungkook groans as soon as Yoongi's made the suggestion, biting back laughter as he shakes his head, even as he refuses to take even a single step back, unwilling to relinquish the closeness. It's always tempting to retreat somewhere private with Yoongi. Maybe in a few years, he'll look back on this period with amusement — maybe they will no longer ache for that physical closeness in the way they do now, as adolescents who are experiencing that high for the first time. But for now, it's so tempting to take the opportunity whenever it presents himself; Jungkook can already feel his heart start to race, wanting.

"I'm sure," he murmurs, tilting his chin up so that he can brush his nose against Yoongi's forehead, tracing it along the side to his temple. "I'll stay up all night with you if we need to make up for lost time, but... god, Yoongi."

He drops his hand briefly, skimming along Yoongi's side. They're still clad in jackets for the time being to fend off the winds of early spring, but he lets the touch linger regardless, light and teasing.

"Okay. Okay," Jungkook laughs. "Let's go."

Grinning, Yoongi steps back, lifting Jungkook's hand to press a brief kiss to the back of it. "Let's go," he agrees. As tempting as it is to spend the whole weekend in bed together, to take advantage of the luxury of having that kind of time, he wants to explore the city. Discovering a new place is fun; with Jungkook at his side, it's exhilarating, a new world in which to make new memories.

Still, it's fun to tease Jungkook, and he'd be lying if he said the way his voice drops, low and wanting, didn't get under his skin.

Later, though. There's always later.

"Alright, I think we head this way to get that street," he continues, leading the way up the road. Even if he's wrong, they'll just get lost and it'll still be fun, but he's pretty sure he's right. "I hope you're right about food. Fish cakes sound really good right now."

When Yoongi takes the lead, Jungkook lets himself linger a half-step back, more than happy to have Yoongi figure out the best path to their destination. There's a certain comfort that comes from being led, from being able to put his faith and trust into Yoongi's judgment. There are so many walks of life where Jungkook has felt forced into wading the waters himself, but at least while he's with Yoongi, journeys can be taken side by side. Time is never fully lost when they're in each other's company.

"Don't they? They sound like they'd be nice and warm... ah, I wanna try the really spicy ones, I've heard they don't hold back with the spice as much here as they do in Seoul," Jungkook grins, closing his eyes as a breeze blows down the street, weaving through his hair. "And the seafood's probably better overall, right? Because we're basically right on the ocean. We should make the most of that while we're here. I wanna eat lots of crab."

Yoongi laughs. "Crab and the spiciest fish cakes we can find," he says. "You got it." Those shouldn't be hard to find in a seaside city like this. All they have to do is follow the road and follow the map — eventually, follow their noses to the source of the delicious seafood smells. There's salt in the air, reminding him faintly of trips to the beach, the seven of them piled into Jin's truck and driving down to the ocean.

He's been saving carefully, money split into two funds, one for Busan and one for if they ever need to run. There's enough there he doesn't feel bad about the idea of just splurging all weekend, showering Jungkook with whatever he wants, as much as he possibly can. It may be his birthday, but what makes Jungkook happy makes him happy. That seems like present enough.

Glancing at the map on his phone, he takes another turn. "And yeah, it should be nice and fresh. Ah, now I'm getting hungry again."

When the request is parroted back, Jungkook finds himself laughing at the ridiculousness of how it sounds — the two of them venturing all the way to Busan and moseying around in search of fish cakes and crab — but maybe that's part of the magic of this trip, Jungkook thinks. It doesn't have to be some grand gesture, it doesn't have to be the type of trip one watches in dramas or movies. Even here, what makes the trip magical is how easy it is for them to be with one another, to show themselves as they are without any pretense.

He steps a little closer, grabbing on tightly to Yoongi's arm, subconsciously focused on matching Yoongi's gait.

"Getting hungry is good. Means we made the right choice," Jungkook chirps in response, turning as Yoongi tugs him along. He licks his lips, grinning to himself as a thought strikes him, cheeks deepening to a dusty pink. "Because even if I filled you up, it wouldn't do much for your stomach."

Yoongi laughs, head tipping back. When they're in bed, saying such things comes easily, but outside the room, it's still a surprise to hear how dirty Jungkook can be when no one else is listening. "I don't think I'd mind," he says. "I like that too much to worry about my stomach. But, ah, you're probably right."

Besides, as much as those words spark desire, he really is hungry, and they came to Busan to see the city, not just hole up in a motel. They'll have all night for that, no need to worry if they're being too loud. It's the best of both worlds, all he could ask for for his birthday.

"Later, though," he says, grinning. "Definitely later."

For now, he takes in the sight of the city around them, scanning street signs to determine they're headed the right way.

Maybe he should have expected a positive answer — he probably should have — but hearing Yoongi make the promise of intimacy later in the evening sends an immediate shiver down Jungkook's spine. His gaze lingers on Yoongi's smile for an extended moment, on the way his eyes narrow when he laughs, and it suddenly requires a lot of self-restraint to keep himself from sweeping Yoongi into some hidden corner for a kiss.

Jungkook settles instead for stroking his thumb over the contour of Yoongi's palm, then rubbing down the center, following palm lines and wondering what stories they'd tell to a reader.

It doesn't take too long before the sudden appearance of colorful overhangs, little tendrils of smoke and steam rising in the air from the carts of food vendors, and the inviting scent of oil, chili paste, and seafood mingled together.

"Ah, let's take a look here," Jungkook ushers Yoongi excitedly. "Tell me if anything looks really good to you."

Yoongi loves holding Jungkook's hand, loves the warmth, the closeness, the constant reminder of his presence, the gentle touches. Nothing seems entirely impossible when Jungkook is next to him. Even a hand becomes something precious to explore when it's the two of them together.

He's mastered taking pictures one-handed as a result, swiping the map app closed in favor of the camera to get a quick shot of the myriad bright colors of the food stalls. Then he drops his phone back into his pocket, eyeing the food.

"Can I say everything?" he asks. "It all looks good. I don't even know where to start."

For a moment, Jungkook's tempted to pull out his own phone for pictures, but something holds him back — maybe it's the expression Yoongi wears as he captures the moment, eyes roving over the stalls and searching for the right composition. There will be time for him to take photos later, Jungkook's sure, but for now it's nice to switch things up from the usual dynamic.

As soon as Yoongi puts his phone away, Jungkook leans in and presses another quick peck to Yoongi's cheek, before quickly pulling away and glancing across the stalls.

"Everything isn't a bad idea, but we gotta prioritize," Jungkook laughs, tugging Yoongi along and taking the lead, heading directly to a long cart of fish cakes bobbing in broth. "You can handle your spice, right?"

Everything's a little clumsier when he holds onto Yoongi's hand, but Jungkook forges ahead nonetheless, grabbing a small cup and filling it with a bit of soy sauce, a bit of chili oil, then reaching for one of the sticks marked with red tape.

Yoongi arches an eyebrow at him, watching as he gathers the food. "Of course I can handle my spice," he says. "Bring it on." Starting with fishcakes seems like a perfect idea, his stomach rumbling as he takes in the fragrant scent wafting up from the stall. It's ridiculous when they ate not that long ago, but at least it means he has room for all the delicious food on this street.

He's loathe to let go of Jungkook's hand, but he does, reaching for a cup to fill with broth. They can't get food, pay, or even eat if they're holding hands.

Well, no, he thinks, they'd figure it out. They've managed before. It's just easier this way. It leaves him unencumbered enough to pay the nice woman running the stall, too, before looking around for somewhere they won't be in the way as they eat.

There's a momentary feeling of loss when Yoongi's hand slips away from Jungkook's, though he gets over the disappointment quickly — it is easier to navigate the stall and the food vendors with the use of both hands, after all. It's early enough in the afternoon that Jungkook spots a relatively clear space by a hidden alley, presumably used to help wheel out ingredients and supplies. He wanders there and stops by the opening, nodding for Yoongi to follow as he tips the end of his fishcake in his cup.

"Say ahh," Jungkook instructs, smiling to himself. Chances are that he should have waited for Yoongi to grab his cup first so that he could follow suit with broth instead of soy sauce, but that miss isn't enough to dissuade Jungkook from wanting to feed Yoongi, to indulge in the little freedoms that they can grab as a couple.

Only once Yoongi's had a bite does Jungkook grab one of his own, tilting his head to and fro with excitement. It tastes so much more freshly made than what they typically find in Seoul, heavy with all the broth the cake soaked up.
